PADI Dry Suit Diver Speciality Course 1 Day

Looking for fun and excitement, no forget that. Do you fancy laughing at a friend learning to dive in a carrier bag? Why not try or recommend the PADI Dry Suit Diver Speciality Course. Doing this course in Menorca could be fun, particularly if you decide to do it in August 🙂

You might be planning a trip to Iceland, you would like to dive in the UK even in the winter, or you just want to extend your season and stay warm. Learning how to dive in a dry-suit and how to manage potentially iffy situations while diving can happen in two ways. You try and error yourself (don´t forget your GoPro as this could be potentially hilarious) or you get it right from the start and learn from those who´ve been there before..

Course outline | PADI Dry Suit Diver

For a start, we´ll discuss which dry suit style and accompanying undergarments are right for you and the diving you’ll do. Then you’ll learn how to take care of your dry suit. We might start in the pool or the bay for some confined water training and follow up with two dives where you’ll practice:

  • Putting on and taking off your drysuit with minimal assistance.
  • Mastering buoyancy control using your dry suit.
  • Dive safety procedures when using a dry suit.
  • How to care for your dry suit after your dive and how to store it.

How’s my day looking?

This course can be done in 1 day, however it might be a good idea to do one dive a day, as this gives you the chance to practice the handling of your suit, cleaning it properly after your dive and to see if you are left with a puddle in your boots when you put it back on again the next day 🙂 Each dive including specific course briefing and knowledge reviews will take approx 2,5 hours.
