Team: Sylva, Lawrence, Pepe

The team of any dive centre is the heart that beats within. We are very passionate about diving, the sea, and our customers. When you leave with a smile, we are happy and proud.

José (Pepe)

A homegrown Menorquian lad, born and bred next to the sea. Pepe started diving in Menorca before he started school. Most likely you will find him on the boat or under water. Alternatively in the classroom when teaching TDI Nitrox or Tec Courses. Connected to the sea like few others with a passion for the technical side of diving.

Pepe´s diving curriculum is vast and varied, with half a century of experience in the water. TDI and PADI Instructor, commercial boat captain, Trimix / Deep Diver, and Rebreather Instructor, gas blender….. there is more, but one can’t remember it all. Pepe has collaborated various years with the Italian ¨SUB-Magazine¨ and is a member of the prestigious PDD (Pfeiffer Deep Divers) group.

Sylva

Making sure that our customers are well looked after from the beginning to the end, is Sylva. She worked at S´Algar Diving in 1999 and after some years living on the other side of the world returned to Menorca and Salgar Diving in 2009.

Trained as a CMAS and PADI Instructor, having worked in the Med, the Andaman Sea and the Red Sea you´ll find her now mainly in the shop, organising staff and daily proceedings, making sure everything is running smoothly. The only complaint you may hear from her is that these days she does not get to dive as often as she would like. Easily recognisable under water – due to a huge smile on her face.

Lawrence (Lorens)

A great example on so many levels. Lawrence came to us as a Divemaster Trainee in 2012. Today, seven seasons later, he is teaching our current DM Trainees himself. Who better to do it than somebody who not long ago went through the same himself? Lawrence is very popular with students and divers alike. His most significant fan, however, is a girl called Lima 🙂

As a PADI Instructor and a Commercial Boat Captain, you will find Lawrence pretty much everywhere. If he is not teaching courses or leading dives, he´ll be skippering the boat or helping Pepe in the workshop or Sylva in the dive centre. Useful on many levels – just don’t give him any paperwork…
His positive energy, dedication, and passion are tangible.
